TL;DR
- Stocks finished higher anyway: the Dow rose 1.08% even after September PPI jumped 1.3% m/m — the fastest pace in about 4½ years.
- Bonds led the rescue. The 10-year yield fell about 9 bps to ~5.09% after Fed officials dialled back October hike odds.
- AI hardware stayed soft (Dell and HPE about −7%, NVIDIA −1.8%), while Ericsson jumped ~12% on a Networks beat.

🪙 Crypto (Fri morning)
- Bitcoin: about $82,000–82,200, up roughly 0.5–0.7% over 24h after Thursday's close near $82,131 (Exa / Yahoo).
- Ether: about $2,439, roughly flat to slightly higher versus Wednesday's washout levels (Exa close Thu $2,439.45).
- Risk appetite steadied with the bond rally; no fresh liquidation spike reported overnight.
🚀 Movers
- Ericsson (ERIC) +11.8% to $10.71. Q3 beat: organic sales +7%, Networks sales +9%, adjusted EBITA SEK 10.1B above forecasts; management still flagged higher component costs ahead.
- Nike (NKE) +5.21% to $37.14. One of the biggest Dow contributors alongside Salesforce (~+4.6%) and Home Depot (more than +4%).
- Marsh & McLennan (MMC) about +7%. Adjusted EPS $2.03 beat the $1.96 consensus and rose 10% year on year.
- Dell (DELL) −6.8% to $473.39; HPE −7.1% to $58.63. Second straight heavy day after a Barclays downgrade hit the AI server / hardware trade.
- CoreWeave (CRWV) +5.94% to $69.69. A bounce after Wednesday's −15% wipeout; the credit scare that started the AI sell-off did not fully reverse.
🤖 AI/Tech story: record TSMC, soft share price
TSMC reported a sixth straight record quarter — revenue about $46.4B (+51% y/y), high-performance computing ~68% of sales, Q4 revenue guided as high as $54.3B — yet ADR shares still fell 1.8% to $422.25. NVIDIA slipped 1.8% to $217.23. Overseas, South Korea's KOSPI fell almost 8% and Japan's Nikkei nearly 5%. The message: AI demand looks fine; funding costs and leverage among GPU landlords are what traders are marking down.
