Why a CET-timed briefing
If you invest from Europe, the US session closes at 22:00 CET, while you're off the screen. The 3-Minute Open lands at 07:00 CET, before European exchanges open at 09:00 CET, so you start the day knowing:
- how the S&P 500, Nasdaq and Dow closed and why
- what Bitcoin and Ethereum did overnight
- which stocks moved most and the catalyst for each
- what's on today's calendar, with times already converted to CET

Key times for European investors (CET/CEST)
| Event | Usual time (Amsterdam/Frankfurt/Paris) |
|---|---|
| Xetra, Euronext and London (in CET) regular sessions | 09:00 – 17:30 |
| Major US economic data (CPI, PPI, jobs, retail sales) | 14:30 |
| US regular session | 15:30 – 22:00 |
| US pre-market earnings reports | typically 12:00 – 15:30 |
| US after-close earnings reports | from 22:00 |
Watch the daylight-saving gap. Europe and the US change clocks on different dates in March and in late October/early November. For those 1–3 weeks, US events happen one hour earlier in CET (e.g. US data at 13:30 and the open at 14:30). Our "what to watch" section always uses the correct local time.
Built for European readers
